United Studios of Self Defense - Our Training Programs

All of our Martial Art Programs include unlimited rank and age specific group classes, in addition to semi-private sessions. This Advanced Training Program (ATP) is designed to give the student more individualized attention and can be specifically tailored to meet the training needs of each student.

Believing in yourself starts early! At United Studios of Self Defense, we work hard to make your child's first experience with the Martial Arts a safe and productive one. Young people must have personal goals and a caring support system to make their dreams a reality.

Stripe Reviews

All students at United Studios progress through a series of stripe levels between every belt advancement. White stripes on the belt indicate the student’s stripe level (yellow stripes are used on white belt). Once the student has progressed through each of the three stripe levels, he or she then begins to prepare for the next belt advancement.

Belt Advancement

Here at United Studios of Commack, we have designed a comprehensive system of conducting all belt advancements on every level and age category. Belt advancements are held monthly for children and adults. Belt Advancement fees are aligned w/ age and rank. Students eligible for belt advancement are notified in person.

Program Protection

A registered student may request to freeze classes and hold tuition payment at any time with advanced notice. If you know you will not be able to attend 2 or more weeks of classes you have already paid for, we will either credit your account or change your tuition due date. All requests must be made by phone or in writing prior to your absence in order to receive credit.

We are so confident that you will fully benefit from our professional Martial Arts Instruction that we will refund 100% of your tuition for any reason within 30 days. We also have no long term binding contracts. You may pay monthly or receive additional discounts by paying 3, 6, 9, or 12 months in advance.

All Semi-Private lessons require a 24 hour cancellation notice in order for a make-up class to be rescheduled.

Methods of Payment: Cash, Check, or Credit card (American Express, Visa, Master card, and Discover card).

Tuition payments are due on or before your scheduled due date.

There will be a 10% late fee for all payments received 10 days past your due date. A $25 service fee for all returned checks.
